Home Program

The home program is an integral part of the treatment protocol. It is designed to support the different processes triggered by the initial treatment regimen, as well as by the application of SVF and ACT. This formation is a basic protocol and is generally adapted to match a patient’s individual situation and genetic expression. Our genetic support, especially in regard to methylation, is intended to be supportive during healing phase but is not full support of your genetic variants and pathways.

The Protocol

CBS / BHMT

The majority of Lyme patients have CBS gene variant which causes the transulfuration pathway go too quickly. This causes increased production of sulfites, sulfates, glutamate which can increase oxidative stress and inflammation. Too much glutamate can cause anxiety and sleep issues as well as pain amplification. The CBS support capsules contain yucca root, n acetyl l-carnitine, sunflower lecithin, trimethylglycine, l-ornithine, dandelion root, and parsley.

Start with one capsule with evening meal and increase to 2 at evening meal. If tolerated well add in 1 capsule at lunch. If tolerated well add one more at breakfast for a total of 4 a day.

Methylation Support – SAMe

Our program uses SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine) to support neuro healing. This is an initial part of several possible support supplements. SAMe is also very beneficial for liver function. It is intended to be a temporary support during neuro healing. Please take precautions if you are on any medications that increase serotonin as you should start with a very low dose. SAMe should be started at 4 months post cell therapy. Start with 2oomg 1x per day and work up slowly to 400mg 2x per day.

Histamine Scavenger

This helps breakdown histamine in the body. Most Lyme patients have genetic variations in genes involved in the breakdown of histamine. The histamine scavenger is made up of a blend of aloe vera, quercetin, bromelain, nettle leaf, pine bark, marshmallow root, bitter orange, licorice, and black pepper. No fillers or other additives are used. Al of these herbs are used in traditional medicine to reduce the histamine load in the body and help regulate the mast cell activity. Start this immediately after cell therapy. For patients who do not tolerate quercetin, we have a formulation which replaces quercetin with ginger root.

DAO Enzyme

ABPI Assist contains DAO Enzyme which also helps to breakdown histamine in the body. It works synergistically with Histamine Scavenger. Take 2 at the beginning of each meal with Histamine Scavenger.

Zeolite Clay

Zeolite clay, and psyllium seeds help absorb histamine, ammonia and other unwanted substances in the digestive tract. It is important to find a clean source of zeolite clay There are concerns about heavy metals being in the clay. The zeolite clay we recommend has been analyzed and tested for heavy metals.

Psyllium Seeds

Psyllium also provides an anti-inflammatory shield and a prebiotic terrain in the intestines. This form of soluble fiber helps with digestion and can help train the muscles of the intestinal tract. It is always very important to drink plenty of liquids when taking psyllium. Make sure the psyllium seeds are organic and clean.

Bacterial Reprogramming

The program includes a multi strain probiotic. Typically, we recommend a probiotic containing a least 30 strains. Some patients react to a low strain probiotic as some bacterial strain can produce histamine. A 30 strain plus probiotic does not seem to present the same problems as the diversity of strains lowers neutralizes this histamine risk.

AMPK Enzyme

5′ adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is an enzyme that plays a role in cellular energy homeostasis. It can help improve mitochondrial functions as well as support thyroid and liver health. It also helps glucose metabolism. AMPK activation may help the body burn off unwanted, hormone active fat deposits (such as belly fat). This fat can interfere with the normal hormone balance and increase inflammatory levels in the body. The AMPK activator contains calcium carbonate, hesperidin, and gynostemma leaf extract.

KPU Support

It is theorized that Lyme and co also hijack certain processes in the cells, making it difficult for the body to retain zinc, vitamin b6, biotin and other essential factors. This state is called KPU (Kryptopyrroluria). These nutrients can be replenished through IV cocktails and post treatment supplements. The lack of zinc can cause the cells to hoard heavy metals in its place. With the cellular terrain now functioning, it is relatively easy for the cells to release these metals. To avoid them triggering high amounts of oxidative stress, which in turn causes inflammation (restarting the whole cycle), select chelating agents are carefully applied.

The KPU protocol should be started 3 months post ACT or around 7 months post Cell Therapy. Please make sure that you have been on the home program for a minimum of 6 weeks. Metals will start to be displaced after about 2 months of KPU treatment at which point you will start to use DMSA and CaEDTA suppositories in the evening. The suppositories will not be chelating but will be ‘mopping up’ metals displaced by the zinc.

KPU support contains two forms of vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5′-phosphate and pyridoxine-hydrochloride) as well as zinc, manganese, and magnesium and should be taken 2x per day. Once in the morning and once in the evening with meals. After 2 months when the suppositories are added in you will alternate DMSA and CaEDTA 1x per day in the evenings and do 2 weeks on, 1 week off. This treatment should be done for 6 months.

Oregano Tea

Oregano contains powerful anti-oxidants, which can help support the immune system. It also helps reduce unwanted bacteria and can support digestive health. Omega-3 fatty acids contained in oregano can help reduce inflammation and the minerals and vitamins in the herb can help increase energy levels and support liver function.

Castor Oil

Castor oil packs applied to the abdomen are a traditional way of supporting the liver and detox functions. The heat from the pack can support digestive health.

Breathing

With a guided breathing exercises, you are able to reduce stress and have a simple exercise at your fingertips to go more relaxed through your day. Breathing exercises also help physically mobilize the digestive tract.

Meditation

Simple meditation helps lower anxiety and epinephrine levels. As the fight or flight hormone, epinephrine slows down digestive processes. Lowering these levels and increasing oxytocin puts the body into a healing mode and aids digestive health.

Hydration

Good hydration is a basic step to health. Making it a goal to drink adequate amounts of liquid can support cellular function as well as help the body mobilize metabolic waste.

Golden Milk Powder

Golden milk has been used for centuries as an integral part of Ayurvedic medicine. Traditionally used to support the body and mind, this beverage also contains strong anti-inflammatory properties. Our Golden Milk Powder has been specifically formulated to be part of the post SVF home program. It is a blend of clove, quercetin, bromelain, nettle leaf, pine bark, marshmallow root, bitter orange, licorice black pepper, ginger, pomegranate seed, star anise, fennel, cardamom, cinnamon, and turmeric. Blend a small scoop of powder with organic almond or coconut milk. Add a generous amount of organic honey to taste. For patients who need to avoid nuts, or sugar, the golden milk powder can also simply be blended into water and taken unsweetened. The taste will be a little bitter but still palatable. Do not add stevia. The golden milk powder is very activating and is best taken during the day.
